Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Bewitching Brews - The Forest Reverie
A sunlit ancient forest, dotted with wild roses, grape vine, and queenly lilies, clothed in swirls of opium smoke.
My first thoughts - this is a strong scent, smokey and floral, with the opium lingering in the background. I'm not sure this is a scent I can pull off, however - it's bordering on masculine. I think this is something that my boyfriend, Alex, would prefer - he loves smokey scents and tends to wear florals very well.
BPAL - Phoenix Steamworks & Research Facility - The Robotic Scarab
Polished metallic notes, glossy leather, frankincense, star anise, and thin lubricating oils.
Another nearly masculine scent. I'm definitely smelling the leather while it's wet! There's almost something alcoholic to this as well, perhaps vaguely medicinal. Annnd this is also going in the "give to Alex" pile.

My skincare routine for today has been Dr. Bronner's Rose Liquid Soap (I feel like this is one of the few soaps available that truly CLEANS my skin), GlamGlow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment for 10 minutes, followed by 3 drops of pure Argan oil to put some moisture back in. I followed this up Skin79's hot pink BB cream, which glided over my skin so nicely due to the Argan oil. I put ELF HD powder on top of this to set it, as it seemed like I was beginning to get oily already - perhaps the Argan oil was unnecessary.
A few hours after this I was starting to feel oily, so I need to gather and keep a stash of Starbucks paper towels/napkins so that I can blot my face throughout the day. Also, after reviewing Skin79's website, it seems as though the Intense Classic BB would be a lot better for me than the hot pink - oops! I'm trying to keep the amount of products I use on my face as few as possible today, as I've already used two pretty harsh products on it (Dr. Bronner's and GlamGlow), so I washed my face with water when I got home from school. Hopefully, I'll feel up to straightening my hair and attempting a second take on my make up later tonight.
